It took months to secure a Med Rep interview…
The questions you ask during the interview reflect your understanding of the job and genuine interest in the position.
𝐀𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝟓 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫:
1️⃣ "What does the company do?
This question reveals a lack of preparation. Research the company’s products, mission, and values before the interview!
2️⃣ "How much does the job pay?"
Salary discussions are better suited for later stages of the interview process. Leading with this question can make you appear more interested in money than the role itself.
3️⃣ "What are the hours like, and how much vacation time do I get?"
This question might suggest you prioritize company benefits over job responsibilities; it’s wiser to ask about expectations first.
4️⃣ "How many calls or meetings will I need to make each day?
Focusing on the minimum requirements can give the impression that you're not willing to go the extra mile to succeed in the role.
5️⃣ “Can you tell me about the background check and drug test policy?”
This question may come off as unprofessional and raise red flags about your priorities. Save policy questions for HR after you receive a job offer!
Instead, ask questions that showcase your dedication to the role, your understanding of the industry, and your eagerness to contribute to the company's success.
The Medical Sales hiring season is approaching…
Will you be ready?
